We Hunt the Flame Blog Tour | Playlist

 Hello everyone,

I am so excited to be part of the We Hunt the Flame blog tour! As you all know, I've been taking a step back when in comes to blog tours (see my last post), but I made an exception to Hafsah Faizal's debut novel We Hunt the Flame because it's one of my most anticipated reads of 2019. Ahem... I may have ordered a bunch of different editions of the book because it's amazing 😁😁

Set in a richly detailed world inspired by ancient Arabia, We Hunt the Flame is a gripping debut of discovery, conquering fear, and taking identity into your own hands.

Okay, so here are some songs that I thought belong in certain scenes or relate to some of the characters in We Hunt the Flame . Now, as a disclaimer, this is my very first time doing this kind of thing--that is, matching music to a book and coming from someone who primarily listens to Taylor Swift and whatever is on the radio at the moment this was really challenging for me.

But, here's my attempt for We Hunt the Flame.

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Main Theme and The Hunter - The Assassin's Creed soundtrack is full of epic music made for fantasy and adventure. I thought these two in particular are perfect for certain scenes in We Hunt the Flame.

"Raba-Raba" by Khaled - I first discovered this song in Renee Ahdieh's playlist for The Wrath and the Dawn and I've been obsessed with it since. I thought it worked for We Hunt the Flame's Arabian-inspired setting without it being too Disney's Aladdin-esque.

"Wild Blood" by Dustin Tebbutt - This song reminds me of Zafira.

"Strangers" by Wave & Rome - Reminds me of Zafira/Deen and Nasir/Kulsum.

"Your Hand in Mine" From Friday Night Lights by Explosions In The Sky - For the contemplative moments.

"Flaws" by Bastille - Because the most interesting characters are flawed.

"Glory And Gore" by Lorde and "Legends Are Made" by Sam Tinnesz - Fight songs.
